With all BS8418 Remote Monitored systems it is a requirement that the system should be Set and Un-Set. Conveniently this is provided using a key point at the positions of ingress and egress to the site. In order to achieve this there is normally a great deal of civil works to be done which can be costly in time and money.
To overcome these costs the Genesis system can now be used to provide Wireless Remote Setting and Un-Setting of the system.
DUPLEX: The beauty if this system is that it is Bi-Directional and will provide the operator with a conformation of the system status.
Security is by way of a four digit pin number. In addition each key point has a five digit site code. Three wrongly entered pin numbers will provide a momentary dedicated contact closure on the receiver.
There are two types of key point in the Genesis range being the fixed type (LGKP1) and the portable type (LGKP2). Both types of key points may be used on the same system and there are no limits to the number of key points used on any one system. Both Key Points are powered by a 9 volt battery which will last for two years with average daily use.
The receiver is the same receiver that is used for the Genesis wireless PIR detectors and therefore this cost is already Bourne in the system. A small module which is supplied with the Key Point is then plugged on to the receiver which provides relay contacts.
