Genesis integrates with IMMIX® software

October 2011

Luminite integrates IMMIX® into its Genesis wireless PIR detection system.

PIR detectors offer highly efficient and intelligent integrated security system options at affordable prices.

Luminite, the UK-based manufacturer of Genesis wireless PIR detector systems, has integrated IMMIX® into its "smart" IP Masthead Transceiver. Central station and command centre operators can now monitor and manage Genesis PIR systems remotely.

The Genesis "smart" IP Masthead coordinates the "smart" alarm and management data from up to 64 Genesis wireless PIR detectors per system. Users of the IMMIX® platform, from SureView, can view and respond to different categories of Genesis PIR alarm activations. Critical alarm and tamper data, such as intrusion detection, anti-shock and anti-cloaking can initiate a site response or key holder alert. Intelligent system management alerts, like low PIR battery strength and weak wireless signal, can instigate a routine maintenance visit.

IMMIX® users can also map multiple PIR detectors to individual video channels, enhancing the PIR system's capability. An electronic "health-check" is also integral, where the correct operation of all the PIRs within the Genesis system is tested every few seconds.

PIR system intelligence of this type significantly increases the effectiveness and efficiency of CCTV systems, whilst reducing the likelihood of false alarms.

The Luminite protocol is open, allowing for third party integration using a software development kit. However, DVR and NVR manufacturers wishing to integrate with the "smart" IP Masthead and enable this comprehensive system functionality should contact Luminite on 020 8368 7887 for more information.

Luminite designs and manufactures the wireless and hard-wired Genesis PIR detection systems, built and supported in the UK. For more information on the PIR detection range or for training on PIR installation good practice, contact Luminite on 020 8368 7887 or by email.
