CCTV Center distributes Genesis

Luminite is pleased to announce its distribution agreement with Panasonic Systems Network Distributor, CCTV Center.

“CCTV Center is an IP CCTV specialist, making it an ideal distributor for our new Genesis IP Masthead, the network-based version of our Genesis wireless PIR detector system,” explains Graham Creek, Managing Director of Luminite. “CCTV Center is one of the largest Panasonic dealers in Europe. Part of our agreement is to ensure that Panasonic recording and control equipment can access, configure and manage Genesis PIR detector functionality remotely, including alarms and tampers, which will soon be available. CCTV Center also provides system design, pre-configuration, commissioning and training for IP systems, guaranteeing that our IP Masthead has optimal technical support.”

Genesis wireless PIRs are quick to install. Battery power and wireless communications mean no wiring between the PIR detectors and control equipment is required. Up to 64 PIRs can be set-up in each system, up to 1km from the IP Masthead transceiver and multiple PIRs can be mapped to each video channel.

PIR system intelligence of this type significantly increases the effectiveness and efficiency of CCTV systems.
