The Luminute GENESIS range of Wireless Passive Infra Red Detectors and accessories have been designed to meet the newest and most demanding requirements of the CCTV market. These detectors provide the versatility of wireless whilst meeting and surpassing the requirements of the BS8418 standard. The radio transmissions are secure by using encrypted rolling codes and each detector calls in regularly to inform the system that it is still operational. Up to 64 Wireless PIRs can be used on each system, and 32 systems can operate in the same vicinity. Transmission range is exceptional, and although quoted as 1km line of sight it will in fact operate up to 2km. Repeaters can be used if further range is required and distances of over 10km can be achieved. Repeaters are simply mastheads which have been set to become repeaters by a single switch change. There are currently three detection patterns to choose from, which compliment many fixed and varifocal lens types. Detection is sharp and responsive, whilst a powerful micro control provides a high degree of immunity to nuisance alarms caused by foliage, flags, loose polyethylene sheeting, etc.
